Frequently Asked Questions
General Questions
-
Our system is based on self-guided hiking routes, route books and digital GPX files. Each book contains a collection of official pre-made trail segments that you can follow at your own pace using the route descriptions, map information and GPX files provided with the product.
After completing our official routes, you can take part in our participation system. This includes monthly prize opportunities, yearly challenge rankings, and completion rewards such as badges and sticker packs.
The goal is to make hiking more interactive, rewarding and community-based, while still allowing every participant to explore independently and safely.
-
To participate, you need to complete one or more of our official pre-made trail segments and provide valid proof of your participation.
Depending on the type of participation, proof may include a social media post, a photo, a video, a GPS activity screenshot, a GPX activity record, route photos or other accepted proof that shows you completed the route.
For monthly prizes, you must share a photo or video on one of the accepted social media platforms and tag our official brand account.
For the yearly competition, participation can be verified either through tagged social media posts or through other accepted proof of completed route segments.
Participation is voluntary. You can enjoy the routes without joining the prize, challenge or reward system.
Product Access
-
Participation is connected to our official route-based products. The following products may give access to the route system, reward challenge system and prize opportunities:
E-books
The ebook gives access to the digital route content and GPX files connected to that book. It allows you to complete the included trail segments and participate in the challenge system.Guidebooks

The photobook is part of our official route-based product system when it is connected to one of our books, route collections or full packs. If the photobook is included as part of an eligible route product or package, it can be connected to participation eligibility.Premium Packs
The full pack gives access to the complete route experience connected to that book, including the ebook, guidebook, elevation map and photobook where applicable. It gives access to the challenge system for the included routes.Eligibility depends on the specific product or package purchased. If a product gives access to participation, this will be clearly stated on the product page.
-
Yes. You can participate if the product was originally purchased through an official sales channel and you can provide proof of access if requested.
Only one person can normally use one product for individual reward or competition participation, unless a family, group or special participation option is clearly offered.
-
Unfortunately no. The standard participation system is designed for one participant per purchased product.
Friends, couples or families can hike together, but each person must have their own eligible product or registered access if they want to claim individual rewards, badge eligibility, sticker pack eligibility or competition entries.
-
No. Merchandise purchased through our shop does not give eligibility to participate in our reward challenge system, badge and sticker pack rewards, monthly prizes or yearly competition.
Merchandise includes decorative, promotional or accessory-based products that are not connected to official route access.
Only eligible route-based products, such as ebooks, guidebooks, photobooks connected to route packages, and full packs, may give access to participation.
If a merchandise item is ever part of a special campaign or participation offer, this will be clearly stated on the product page or campaign page.
Monthly Prizes
-
To participate in our monthly prizes, you need to share a photo or video while starting, doing or finishing any of our official pre-made trails.
The content must be shared on one of the following social media channels:
TikTok
Facebook
Instagram
YouTube Shorts
YouTube
You must also tag our official brand account in the post, video, story, reel, short or upload so that we can see and verify your entry.
-
No. For the monthly prize, you do not need to finish a full book.
You can participate by sharing a valid photo or video while starting, doing or finishing any one of our official pre-made trail segments, as long as you tag our official brand account and follow the monthly participation rules.
-
Unfortunately no. The standard participation system is designed for one participant per purchased product.
Friends, couples or families can hike together, but each person must have their own eligible product or registered access if they want to claim individual rewards, badge eligibility, sticker pack eligibility or competition entries.
-
Yes. You may enter more than once if you complete and share different official trail segments during the same month.
Each valid post, video, reel, short or story connected to a different official route may count as a separate monthly entry, unless a specific monthly campaign states otherwise.
However, once you have submitted a specific trail according to any of our accepted participation rules, you cannot submit or use that same trail again for monthly prize participation.
This means that if you share a valid photo or video from one trail and tag our brand to enter a monthly prize, that trail is considered submitted. You cannot use that same trail again in a later month for another monthly prize entry.
The monthly prize system is based on sharing new trail experiences, not repeatedly submitting the same route.
-
The monthly prize period normally runs from the first day to the last day of each calendar month.
For example, entries for July must be posted during July to count for the July monthly prize.
Monthly winners are usually reviewed and selected after the end of the month, once all valid entries have been checked.
-
Monthly winners are selected from valid monthly entries.
To be eligible, your post must meet the participation rules, include a photo or video from the route, be shared on an accepted social media platform and tag our official brand account.
The selection method may depend on the monthly campaign. It may be based on a draw, community engagement, creativity, route completion or another method announced for that month.
-
For monthly prize participation, accepted platforms are:
TikTok
Facebook
Instagram
YouTube Shorts
YouTube
Your post, video, reel, story, short or upload must tag our official brand account to count as a monthly entry.
Yearly Competition
-
Our yearly competition is based on the number of official route segments completed throughout the calendar year.
At the end of the year, we will reward the Top 3 participants who completed the most verified segments from our books during that calendar year.
The yearly competition is designed for people who want to explore more routes, complete more segments and stay active throughout the year.
-
Anyone can participate in the yearly competition by completing official segments from our books and providing valid proof.
Unlike the monthly prize system, yearly participation does not depend only on social media tagging. You can participate through tagged social media posts or through other accepted proof of completion.
Accepted proof may include GPS activity screenshots, GPX activity records, route completion screenshots, photos from completed segments, tagged posts or other reasonable proof showing that the route was completed.
Tagged social media posts are welcome, but they are not the only way to participate in the yearly competition.
-
Yearly winners are chosen based on the number of verified official trail segments completed during the calendar year.
The Top 3 people with the highest number of completed and verified segments will be selected as the yearly winners.
Only official segments from our books count toward the yearly ranking.
-
A segment counts as completed when you have followed one of our official pre-made routes from start to finish, or completed a reasonable equivalent version when changes were necessary for safety, weather, trail closures or local restrictions.
To count toward the yearly competition, each segment must be supported by valid proof.
We may reject a segment if the proof is unclear, incomplete, duplicated, manipulated or not connected to the official route.
-
During the same calendar year, the same official segment can only count once per participant.
This means that if you complete and submit a specific trail in one calendar year, that trail can count once toward your yearly challenge ranking for that year. Repeating the same route during the same calendar year will not increase your yearly segment count.
The yearly competition is based on how many different official segments you complete from our books during that calendar year.
At the beginning of the following calendar year, the yearly competition resets. This means that you can start again and submit the same official segments for the new year’s competition.
For example, if you complete a trail in 2026 and it counts toward the 2026 yearly competition, you may complete and submit that same trail again in 2027 for the 2027 yearly competition.
-
No. Under our current rules, you do not need to buy the same product again each year in order to participate in the yearly competition with the routes included in that product.
If you already have valid access to one of our official route products, you can use those routes again for the following year’s yearly competition after the calendar year resets.
This applies unless our participation rules, product access rules or competition structure are changed in the future.
-
The yearly competition runs during one calendar year.
It normally starts on 1 January and ends on 31 December of the same year.
Only segments completed and submitted within that calendar year will count toward that year’s competition.
-
Yes. You can join the yearly competition at any time during the year.
Your ranking will be based on the number of verified official segments you complete before the end of that calendar year.
Participation Rules
-
To participate fairly, you must complete official routes honestly and use real photos, videos or activity proof.
You must submit or share proof within the correct period, respect nature, local communities and protected areas, and follow all local laws, trail rules and park regulations.
You must avoid private property unless access is clearly allowed, and you must never damage signs, fences, vegetation, wildlife or cultural heritage.
Each participant is responsible for their own safety, preparation, equipment and decisions.
You must also follow the rules of the social media platform used for participation and avoid fake, copied, manipulated or misleading submissions.
We may reject entries that are false, duplicated, unsafe, incomplete, offensive, manipulated or not connected to our official routes.
-
Small route changes are allowed when necessary for safety, weather, trail closures, access restrictions, construction work or local regulations.
However, major shortcuts or unrelated alternative routes may not count as official completions.
If your route was changed for a valid reason, keep clear proof and explain the reason when submitting your completion.
-
Safety always comes first.
Do not start or continue a route in dangerous weather, storms, extreme heat, poor visibility, snow, wildfire risk or any unsafe condition.
If a route is closed or restricted, you must follow local rules and official instructions. You can complete the route later or choose another available route.
Competition deadlines never override safety or local regulations.
-
Yes. An entry may be rejected if the proof is missing, unclear, incomplete, duplicated or not connected to one of our official routes.
An entry may also be rejected if it was submitted after the deadline, if the same trail was submitted more than allowed, if the content is offensive or inappropriate, or if the participant used copied, fake or manipulated material.
We may also reject entries connected to unsafe behaviour, damage to nature, rule-breaking, restricted areas or illegal access.
-
Tagging our brand is accepted and encouraged, but it is not the only way to participate in the yearly competition.
For the yearly competition, you can participate either through tagged social media posts or through other valid proof of completed route segments.
The important requirement is that your completed segments can be verified.
-
A valid social media post should include a photo or video from the route, a clear connection to one of our official pre-made trails, our official brand tag, and the route name or book name if possible.
For monthly prizes, the brand tag is required.
For yearly competition proof, the brand tag is accepted and encouraged, but other valid proof may also be accepted.
Duration of Participation
-
Participation depends on the type of reward or competition.
For monthly prizes, participation lasts for the relevant calendar month. Entries must be posted during that month, and each official trail can only be submitted once for monthly prize participation by the same participant.
For the yearly competition, participation lasts for the full calendar year, from 1 January to 31 December. Each official trail segment can only count once during that calendar year.
At the start of the next calendar year, the yearly competition resets. Participants may start again and submit official trail segments for the new year’s yearly challenge.
For badge and sticker pack rewards, you can complete the required routes at your own pace, unless the product page or campaign rules state a specific time limit.
Under our current rules, participants do not need to buy the same product again each year to continue participating with the routes they already have access to. This may change if our product access rules or competition rules are updated in the future.
-
No. For personal route completion and badge eligibility, you can complete the routes at your own pace.
However, monthly prize entries must be shared during the correct month, and yearly competition segments must be completed and submitted within the relevant calendar year.
Badges and Sticker Packs
-
Badges and sticker packs are completion rewards.
To receive the badge and sticker pack connected to a book, you need to complete all official route segments included in that specific book.
After completing every required segment, you must submit proof of completion. Once your completion is verified, you become eligible to receive the physical badge and sticker pack for that book.
-
No. Badges and sticker packs are not automatically included with every purchase.
They are earned after completing all required segments in a book and submitting valid proof of completion.
-
To receive a badge and sticker pack, you may need to provide proof for every official segment in the book.
Accepted proof may include GPS activity screenshots, GPX activity records, photos from the routes, social media posts tagging our brand, route completion forms or other reasonable proof showing that the routes were completed.
We may review the submitted proof before approving the reward.
-
After your proof is submitted, we will review your completion.
If everything is valid, your badge and sticker pack will be prepared and shipped according to our reward-shipping process.
Delivery time may vary depending on your location, postal service and reward availability.
Physical rewards can only be shipped to countries included in our shipping area.
Prizes and Rewards
-
Monthly prizes may include products, discounts, exclusive items, special rewards or other prizes announced for that month.
Yearly prizes are awarded to the Top 3 participants who complete the highest number of verified official segments during the calendar year.
Badge and sticker pack rewards are connected to completing all official segments in a specific book.
-
Monthly and yearly prizes are competition-based. Submitting an entry does not guarantee that you will win.
Badges and sticker packs are completion rewards, but they are subject to verification, availability and shipping conditions.
-
Winners may be contacted by email, direct message or through the social media account used for participation.
If we cannot contact a winner within the required response period, we may select another winner or hold the prize until further notice.
Safety and Responsibility
-
No. The routes are self-guided.
We provide route information, descriptions and GPX files, but each participant is responsible for their own navigation, preparation, equipment, physical condition and safety decisions.
-
Before starting any route, you should check the weather conditions, trail closures or restrictions, public transport or parking options, water availability, daylight hours, your physical condition, your phone battery, your GPS app, emergency contacts, suitable clothing, proper shoes, food and water.
Natural and mountain environments can change quickly. Always prepare properly.
-
Yes, but participants should choose routes that match their fitness, experience and confidence level.
Some routes may be easy and suitable for beginners, while others may include long distances, elevation gain, technical terrain, remote areas or mountain conditions.
Always read the route description carefully before starting.
